Oliver Heckemann will become a member of the management of Dr.-Ing. Paul Christiani GmbH & Co. KG. He is responsible for the Business Development Examination division. Before that, Mr. Heckemann worked at the IHK Schwaben as head of vocational training. There he established, among other things, the first IHK examination center in Bavaria.
Oliver Heckemann therefore has the best requirements to develop Christiani’s Examination division. In the medium and long term, he will also succeed Helmut Fromm, who as an active partner in the company has been successfully responsible for the Examination division for many years.
This will pave the way into the future for this traditional medium-sized company, which has stood for know-how and quality in technical and commercial training and further education for over 85 years. Christiani has developed from a distance learning institute of the early days to one of the leading providers of teaching materials for the entire technical education path. From school and training to university and further education: In technical education and further training, the company covers the entire range for successful learning. The portfolio ranges from textbooks, reference books and didactic learning materials, training stands and teaching systems to individual learning concepts and technical teaching aids. And this for all school levels of the first educational path, up to teaching materials for training and examination preparation at vocational schools and specialist room concepts for specialist institutes training centres. In addition to schools, customers include universities, institutes, associations, Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Chambers of Crafts and companies in Germany and abroad.
“Digitization of Education” has been a focal point of the company for many years, both in terms of the use of state-of-the-art technologies such as learning videos, learning platforms or robotics and in terms of suitable didactic media concepts.
For many decades, Christiani has been a close partner of the IHK organisation in Germany in the implementation of the IHK examination for technical apprenticeships, in particular the examination task and teaching material development centre in Stuttgart. Christiani’s product range for test equipment and training materials for exam preparation, on the other hand, covers all IHK and some HWK training occupations. Numerous technical training companies throughout Germany make use of Christiani’s service for examination materials for the practical IHK examination.
