Drive Technology

Drive technology is a central component of vehicle development. It encompasses all technical systems developed for the generation, control and transmission of drive power and includes primary energy converters such as combustion engines and electric motors as well as secondary components such as power electronics, transmissions, differentials and axle drives. The focus here is on increasing efficiency and reducing emissions. The shift from conventional drives to electrified and electric drive architecture is becoming increasingly important and requires greater technical expertise from automotive mechatronics engineers and specialists in the field of vehicle technology.
