This functional model featuring gasoline injection technology allows the demonstration and analysis of functions, processes, faults, and measurement values just like on a real engine. All necessary original components and parts are clearly arranged on a color-printed front panel according to the EVA principle (Input – Processing – Output). An integrated fault simulation enables the creation of various learning scenarios. A component simulation allows the representation of different load conditions. The key advantage of this functional model is that it makes the functions and processes of a high-pressure accumulator injection system for gasoline engines visible in the classroom under realistic conditions — but without any emissions. All original components of the injection and fuel systems (excluding the high-pressure fuel pump, but including the in-tank pump) re fully operational and diagnostic-capable. Signals and measurement values can be taken directly at the central measuring field or read via the OBD interface using standard diagnostic tools.
